You mentioned only harvesting fresh oysters and shipping them 11 months out of the year, what month do you not harvest fresh oysters?
We don't fill any orders around April. During this time we are cleaning gear, getting ready for the busy months to follow. Also during this time we are letting the new oysters "fatten up" as the farmers are getting ready for harvesting.

Does BuyOysters.net farm the oysters?
BuyOysters.net does not farm the oysters. The oysters are harvested by busy families that spend time caring for the oysters and harvesting the oysters. We help the families by selling their oysters online.

Are there any states that will not allow fresh oysters to enter the state?
Yes, infact we do not ship fresh oysters to Hawaii and Texas.

Do you sell smoked oysters?
Currently we do not offer smoked oysters as an option. We are looking into smoking oysters and making them available for sale on our web site. Stay tuned for smoked oysters.

Will I need an Oyster Knife to open the Oysters?
Yes you will need an oyster knife to open the oysters. These are fresh oysters.

Is there a minimum order amount when I buy oysters?
Yes there is a minimum order amount of 2 1/2 dozen oysters.

How do you ship the oysters I order online?
The oysters that we ship are sent via FedEx 2nd Day. They are sent in an insulated box with gel ice.

Do you sell other seafood besides fresh oysters?
The great thing about Alaska is the pristine seafood that lives in the cold waters. Currently all we sell is fresh oysters. I do have access to wild salmon, halibut and smoked salmon. Just give me a call at the toll free number.
